The Ranipur Tiger Reserve span across 529.89 square kilometres (sq km), with a 299.58 sq km buffer zone and 230 sq km core area, which was already notified as the RWS in 1977.
Core Area: The core area of the reserve covers approximately 230 sq km. It is the central portion of the reserve and is likely to have the highest level of protection and conservation efforts.
Buffer Zone: The buffer zone of the Ranipur Tiger Reserve spans approximately 299.58 sq km. The buffer zone acts as a transitional area between the core area and the surrounding human-dominated landscapes.
